What is transnational migration?

Have you ever come across the term ‘transnational migration’? It is not the same as ‘international migration’.

We are going to partially read an open-access journal article, authored by Dr. Peggy Levitt, titled ‘Transnational Migrants: When “Home” Means More Than One Country‘. This is a long research-based article, and we will specifically focus on the introduction and the first two sections only. However, based on the title alone, how do you think Dr. Levitt defines the term ‘transnational migration’?
